On 19th April, we are making changes to the way Soldo works. Read more to familiarise yourself with each optimisation and its associated benefits ahead of time.
Soldo is evolving, becoming a better fit for the way you do business. Read on to learn more about the introduction of the new functionality of Groups. These upgrades are designed to improve the way you manage your company’s business spending with Soldo, offering even more flexibility.
For larger accounts on a Premium Plan, we have introduced a new feature called Groups that allows you to organise multiple users, wallets or company cards that are part of the same team, department or project – and to manage them together. You can also designate a leader to manage funds and transactions.
Whether the company is set up in different departments and teams, or you want to organise users by specific projects, you can now mirror these conditions within Soldo, by grouping users the same way you would group people in your organisation. This will make it easier for you to analyse and compare spending across the company, create more accurate budgets, and gather more insights about how money is managed in your company.
In each Group’s detail section, you will find which resources have been assigned to it, and you can always add or remove them to suit your needs. For now, a resource can only be part of one group at a time.
Groups ensure that a company’s organisational hierarchy or specific projects are reflected in their Soldo account, and that each group’s transactions are easily identifiable. In fact, every time a user or a company card is being used, the transaction generated will retain the related group information.
This empowers companies with:
- More control over costs and cash flow – budgeting and spending comparisons between groups becomes easier (for example, by allowing cross-departmental comparisons or by aiding forecasting).
- A better understanding of resource distribution (for instance, knowing who is managing and spending for certain expenses).
Finally, you can allow one or more users in the group to have control over the group itself, so that they can get visibility on all the resources belonging to it, track spending, manage users and cards, and setting up rules and limits.
What do I need to do?
When a new resource (user, card or wallet) is created, we will ask if you want it to be part of a group, which you can change at any time. Explore the possibility of allocating your existing users and cards to a group to better reflect your company organisation and to facilitate management.
In each Group’s detail page, you’ll find which resources belong to the group, and you can add or remove resources as you see fit. For now, a resource can be part of only one group at a time.
This level of organisation reduces the need to pore over transactions one user at a time, letting you group spend associated with business units or teams, and saving you time.
